Dr. Hayes grew up in a small town in southern Kentucky, where his parents still reside. He graduated from the University of Kentucky in Lexington, earning his Doctor of Medical Dentistry (DMD) degree in 1986.

Shortly after finishing dental school, Dr. Hayes moved to Cookeville and has been in private practice ever since. He is deeply committed to the community, where he lives with his two sons. He is actively involved in many local organizations and is the founder and coach of the Highland Knights, a boys’ basketball organization.
